All eligible employers who are registered with CITB and up to date with their levy returns can apply for grant including small employers who are not required to pay the levy. The deadline for Levy Returns is 30 November each year.
Grants cannot be paid to individual employees. Speak with your employer and if they are registered with CITB they may be eligible for grant for your training.
CITB offer support to industry through grants and funds. CITB grants cover day to day training and the funds cover specific projects and commissions.
We are an ATO (Approved Training Organization). We are audited annually to hold this approval. This allows us to apply for training and achievement grant on your behalf.
Grants are for training and qualifications completed in the grants scheme year, 1 April of this year to 31 March of the next year.
A grant for directly employed apprentices attending approved Level 2 and above Apprenticeships.
You can apply for £2,500 per year for attendance and £3,500 for achievement.
In addition to this an extra £2,000 is payable for Drylining Apprentices for new starts from 1 April 2022.
A grant for directly employed learners and all sub-contractors attending approved higher-level qualifications including degrees, HNCs and HNDs which take more than 1 year to complete.
You can apply for £1,125 per year for attendance (up to 6 years) and £1,875 for achievement.
A grant for directly employed learners and all sub-contractors, for the achievement of approved qualifications at Level 2 or above which take less than 1 year to complete, including NVQs, the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health, and additional plant-related NVQ units.
You can apply for £600 per achievement for approved full qualifications (up to 4 achievements at each level per person). Within the maximum of four achievements at Level 2, you can apply for a maximum of three plant related VQ units per individual at £300 each.
Grants for directly employed learners and all sub-contractors for the achievement of approved Technical Tests (currently Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) only).
